PRESS Release

CVS Armed Robbery

On Tuesday January 7, 2003 at approximately 1720 hours, the Raynham Police Department received a phone call via 911 from the CVS Pharmacy on Route 44. The CVS Pharmacist informed the Raynham Police Department Headquarters that they had just been robbed at gunpoint.
Patrolman Ed Reilly, Detective Sergeant David Bonaparte and Sergeant Sally Westcoat immediately responded to CVS and spoke with the pharmacist. She had stated that a male party approached the pharmacy counter and told her they were being robbed. The unidentified male party showed the pharmacist a black handgun and demanded all of their Oxycontin and Percocet. The male suspect handed the pharmacist a white plastic bag and demanded that she place the Oxycontin and Percocet in the bag. The male suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of pills.
An eye witness provided the officers with a plate number and type of vehicle the suspect fled in, however upon further investigation, the vehicle used was reported stolen from Dorchester, MA. within the past 24 hours.
The suspect is described as a light skinned male approximately 5'11" or 6' tall and approximately 170 lbs. He was clean shaven and wearing a black pea coat, brown pants, and brown shoes. He was also wearing a tan baseball hat.
The robbery is being investigated by Patrolman Ed Reilly   or Detective David Bonaparte.
