CVS Armed
Robbery
On Tuesday
January 7, 2003 at approximately 1720 hours, the Raynham Police
Department received a phone call via 911 from the CVS Pharmacy
on Route 44. The CVS Pharmacist informed the Raynham Police
Department Headquarters that they had just been robbed at
gunpoint.
Patrolman Ed Reilly, Detective Sergeant
David Bonaparte and Sergeant Sally Westcoat immediately
responded to CVS and spoke with the pharmacist. She had stated
that a male party approached the pharmacy counter and told her
they were being robbed. The unidentified male party showed the
pharmacist a black handgun and demanded all of their Oxycontin
and Percocet. The male suspect handed the pharmacist a white
plastic bag and demanded that she place the Oxycontin and
Percocet in the bag. The male suspect fled the store with an
undetermined amount of pills.
An eye witness provided the officers
with a plate number and type of vehicle the suspect fled in,
however upon further investigation, the vehicle used was
reported stolen from Dorchester, MA. within the past 24 hours.
The suspect is described as a light
skinned male approximately 5'11" or 6' tall and
approximately 170 lbs. He was clean shaven and wearing a black
pea coat, brown pants, and brown shoes. He was also wearing a
tan baseball hat.
The robbery is being investigated by Patrolman
Ed Reilly
or Detective David Bonaparte.
