Raynham Police Charge 4 Brockton Juveniles in Connection with Vehicle Break-ins

RAYNHAM — Chief David LaPlante reports that the Raynham Police Department has charged four juveniles in connection with vehicle break-ins early Monday morning.

On Monday, May 5, at approximately 3 a.m., Raynham Police responded to King Street after receiving a report that a car had been broken into.

On scene, officers also determined that another vehicle on Princess Lane had been entered.

During an investigation, officers located surveillance video showing two suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts, backpacks and face masks.

Sgt. Frank Pacheco and K-9 Bleky responded to assist in a search.

Shortly after, Officer Dan Fitch located four juveniles attempting to leave the area in a rideshare vehicle. The juveniles were wearing hooded sweatshirts, masks and gloves, consistent with the surveillance video. Officers recovered stolen property consistent with vehicle break-ins.

The four juveniles were detained and brought back to the police station, where they were identified and released to adults.

All four — ages 15, 16, 16 and 17, all of Brockton — will be summoned to appear in Taunton Juvenile Court on numerous charges.

“I want to commend our officers for their quick response and investigation into these car break-ins overnight,” Chief LaPlante said. “This is just another example of the Raynham Police Department’s commitment to protecting our community and holding individuals accountable.”

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
